This is the four part apology.
What you have to do
When you have wronged.
Normally, this is simple.
Normally we are mature enough
To admit we were wrong.
Yet…the problem can arise.
How do you apologize
For an action,
Of which you feel no remorse?
How do you say “I’m sorry”
When your heart feels nothing?
Sometimes you have the strength,
To say “I’m not sorry,
My actions are my actions.
I will not change them.”
But sometimes,
You aren’t brave enough,
Or you’re in no position of power
To stand up for yourself.
So.
You lie.
Sometimes you lie
So hard
Your apologies become real,
And you believe you are truly sorry.
Sometimes you lie
Hard enough
That everyone believes you
And you are forgiven.
Sometimes you lie
Rather well
So most people forgive you,
And you are mostly forgiven.
Sometimes your lie
Is so bad
Nobody believes you
And you are not forgiven.
But weather they become real or not
They are still lies, they are no true.
Your emotions become false,
And there is
Nothing You Can Do.
Maybe someday…
We will all have the strength
To stand up for our actions.
To say “I’m not sorry.”
To keep our emotions,
Pure, not false.
Maybe…
